In the year 2002, five sisters volunteered for the Refoundation of Cape Town Carmel in South Africa (four from Jaro). Prior to their departure, they had sessions preparing them for the culture, community, environment, etc. Two of the speakers chosen to orient them were Father Charles, OCD and Father Alan, OCD.
