An Advent Reflection (1st week)

Watch! Stay awake! One hundred years ago this Carmel brought the light of Christ in the Archdiocese of Jaro. After a hundred years, we believe that Christ continues to shed His light on our people, on our priests and on those who trust in the power of prayer. Our recent centennial celebration has proved to us that Christ made His Carmel grow in the heart of our Archdiocese. May we stand strong as bringers of light. May we continually WATCH that even if our candle may flicker low, we will stand united as we watch and wait for Christ to be born again and again in the Bethlehem of Jaro Carmel and joyfully adore the Son of God with love and thanksgiving. Amen!
